And the other Stuff About Adventuring…

We are all responsible for our own adventures. While we are not responsible for your adventure, here are some considerations that have been valuable for us during our excursions.

For us, in our own individual adventuring, we look at road conditions, weather, wind, vehicles x 2 – van and wheelchair, and known conditions about the place we are going to visit. You will have a completely different set of elements and variables that impact your adventure or outing.

What might those be for you?

Emergency preparedness – consider communications, contacts, emergency supplies (water, food, clothing, shelter, light source), and alternative transportation.

Also consider city, county, and state laws and conditions such as fire restrictions or red flag warnings. This is new for us since moving to a state with higher risk of wildfire.

Consider wildlife in the area and/or seasonal wildlife cycles such as rutting and/or mating times of the year, and consider appropriate behaviors and actions to maintain your own safety and the safety of those with you (including pets). This is new for us since moving to a state with more diverse wildlife populations and activity.
